C # packing and unpacking

Source: Internet
Author: User

C # allows conversion between any value of the "value type" and the value of the "object" type.

  • Packing is to convert the value type to the reference type;
  • Binning converts a reference type to a value type;
Int I = 100; object o = I; // packing: Convert Value Type I to object type Int J = (INT) O; // unpacking: convert object type to Value Type

In principle, a new reference object is generated during packing, which may cause time loss, that is, the efficiency is reduced. Therefore, it is not recommended to use packing and unpacking in the loop body, or to use advance packing for optimization. You can also use overload functions and generics to avoid packing and unpacking.
