C disk space is too big how to reduce the size of the partition

First look at an example of a need to shrink the C disk or reduce the partition space:

"My computer's C-disk space is 530GB, in addition to the C disk there is a D disk, but the D disk space less than 30GB, there are two hidden partitions, a 200MB, a 15GB." I want to take out the C-disk compression space to create a separate partition, but in the Windows 7 Disk Manager prompted partition compression has reached the upper limit. Want to divide the spare space of C disk some to D disk, but in the compressed C disk space, the extra space can not be allocated to D disk use. Can you tell me how to solve the above problems? "

Individual users of the computer may be on the C disk has a lot of space, and other disk space is not too much. Then you need to divide some space from c to be allocated to other partitions or create a new partition. The Disk Manager for Windows 7 adds functionality to a compressed volume, but this function has certain limits, for example a 500GB partition, uses the compressed volume function to shrink it, can compress the partition to 250GB at most, even if the partition still has many unused space, then cannot compress again. A third party tool is needed to solve these problems. The partitioning assistant is a free disk partition management software that not only shrinks large partitions but also divides space into other partitions. Here is an example of narrowing the C-disk and allocating space for D-disk use.

To reduce the partition operation step

1, download the free section Assistant, install and run it. In the main interface you can see the C disk has 60GB space, D disk has 200GB of space, as shown in Figure 1. This example will compress the C disk to 40GB the compressed space allocated to D disk use, so that D disk reached about 220GB of space.

2, the goal of this step is to reduce the C disk, please select the C disk and move the mouse to the "Partition rapid adjustment area" of the most right side, then when the mouse pointer becomes a double-headed arrow, click on the round handle and drag the mouse to the left to reduce the partition to 40GB, as shown in Figure 2 below: (You can also right-click on C to select "Adjust/move Partition" option to narrow the C partition)

Figure 2

3, when you release your mouse, you will see a 19.99GB unallocated space (where the blue box is circled) after the C disk, as shown in Figure 3, which is compressed, and we can continue to use the Partition Assistant to allocate this space to D disk.

4, click D Disk, and move the mouse to the "Partition rapid adjustment area" of the leftmost, then, when the mouse pointer becomes a double-headed arrow, click the round handle and drag the mouse to the left to take up the unallocated space in this 19.99GB, as shown in Figure 4 below: (You can also right-click D to select "Adjust/move Partition" Option to set the new size of the D partition)

Figure 4

5, when you drag to the left and release the mouse, as shown in Figure 5 below. The D disk has been enlarged and occupies the space vacated from the C disk. Now the size of the C disk is about 220GB 40gb,d disk size.

6, finally do not forget to click the "Submit" button on the toolbar to perform the actual operation, in addition, you can see in the main interface on the waiting to perform the operation of the two operations (blue Box circled place), the following figure 6, that is, to save this operation to disk. It may take a while to execute, depending on how small the data in the partition is. This requires you to wait patiently and never force the termination of the program.

If you shrink the system disk, the partition assistant may prompt you for a reboot and this operation needs to be done in reboot mode, where you need to click "Yes" to have the program perform the pending operation in reboot mode. The restart mode is an English language because there is no language library support for the restart mode. Usually you just have to wait for the program to execute, and after the restart mode is done, the computer will automatically reboot and enter the Windows system.
