NET-SNMP: Collecting remote computer data

RRDtool: Plot tool

Installing an integrated environment

1. Download the installation package from Appserv website (the version i downloaded is appserv-win32-8.1.0.exe);

2. Installation (easy to install, keep the default, all the way to the next, except for one step to manually enter the root password of the MySQL service).

Installing RRDtool

1. Create a new folder in the C drive, named RRDtool;

2. Download the installation package from cacti website (the version i downloaded is rrdtool-1.2.15-cygwin-1.5.20.zip);

3. Unzip to the C:\rrdtool directory.

Installing NET-SNMP

1. Download the installation package;

2. Installation (easy to install, keep the default, all the way to the next step).

Installing cacti

1. Empty files and folders under the C:\AppServ\www directory;

2. Download the installation package from cacti website (the version i downloaded is cacti-0.8.8.zip);

3. Extract to C:\AppServ\www directory;

4. Enter the C:\AppServ\www directory;

5. Rename the cacti-0.8.8 to cacti;

6. Start and All Programs->appserv->mysql Command line Client;

7. Enter the password;

8. Execute the following SQL statement:

9. Create database cacti;

10. Grant all privileges the cacti.* to [e-mail protected] identified by ' Cactiuser ';

11. Flush privileges;
