When you use cacti to monitor Windows hosts, you often encounter the inability to get SNMP information for Windows hosts and hardware information for Windows hosts, mainly because the Windows host is not properly configured for SNMP, and the following are the correct configuration steps:
1. Install SNMP Service
Control Panel, add Remove Programs, add/Remove Windows components, management and monitoring tools, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP)
2. Configuring SNMP Service
Accept community Name, Security , SNMP service, services, management tools, add public, this is the password that is used to log on, and the custom accept SNMP packets from these hosts to fill your CA CTI Server IP
3. install third-party software SNMP informant
Http://www.wtcs.org/informant/download.htm, currently STD 1.6. Installation is simple, note that it must be installed after configuring SNMP, or you will not be prompted to configure SNMP.
4, open SNMP port UDP 161, Control Panel->windows Firewall----add port, port name is optional, port fill 161, type select UDP
