1.Advance Ping Scripts and templates

Note: To use this template, PHP must be compiled with the--enable-sockets option to support sockets.

1). Function: This template is used to monitor a TCP/UDP port, ICMP latency, and packet loss scenarios.

2). Download the ss_fping.php script and put it in the/usr/local/apache/htdocs/cacti/scripts/directory, download the cacti_graph_template_ping_advanced_ping_v1_ 3.xml template, import this template with the Cacti Template Import page.


3). In the left menu bar under the Console tab, select Devices, create a new devices for the host you want to monitor, or select an existing devices. Add the Advanced Pingv1.3 template to the associated Graph Templates . and click on the top of the Create Graphs for this Host link.

In the Graph Templates selection box, select ping-advanced PING v1.3, and then click the Create button and the following Web page appears.

The first meaning is to send the number of probe packets to the port to be monitored (the default 20), the second is the protocol used, can be ICMP, TCP, UDP, and the third is the port number to monitor (only the second is TCP or UDP), after completion click the Create button.

Select Date Sources from the left menu under the Console Console tab, and select the new data source above to modify the information you have filled out above.


Select graph trees in the left menu under the Console tab to organize a tree view.

Under the Graphs tab, browse to the Advanced Ping Monitor chart that you created.

Pkt Loss: Number of drops/20 * 100% (20 packets per ping)

function: Used to monitor MySQL status, including index usage, query, sort, lock situation, etc.

1). Place the mysql_stats.php and dumpmemcachedstats.php scripts in the Cacti script directory (/usr/local/apache/htdocs/cacti/scripts/), Pay attention to selecting Cacti_host_template_temysql_host-step300-heartbeat600.xml and cacti_host_template_memcached_ when importing templates Host-step300-heartbeat600.xml Template (default cacti 5 minutes to take data once).

2). Configure the MySQL server so that the cacti machine can access the status information of the MySQL server and must have "process" permission. If you want to monitor the InnoDB status, you must also have "SUPER" permissions.

3). Create graph. In the left menu bar under the Console tab, select Devices, create a new devices for the host you want to monitor, or select an existing devices. In associated graph Templates , add the graph Templatesthat you want to monitor the MySQL status, such as the Temysql–index usage template, This set of templates is a series of templates that begin with Temysql. and click on the top of the create Graphs for this Host link, select Temysql–index Usage in the Graph Templates selection box, then click the Create button and the following Web page appears.

Fill in the user name and password with access to the MySQL database, then click the Create button.

Select the graph Templates you just added and click the Create button to create the graph.

Select graph trees in the left menu under the Console tab to organize a tree view.

Under the Graphs tab, browse to the MySQL monitor chart you created.
