CAD Software Based on opencascade

OpenCASCADE is the core of an Open Source CAD/CAM/CAE geometric model. It is developed by Matra Datavision, a famous CAD software EUCLID.

 

EuclidIs a CAD software which was developed since 1980 by the French company Matra Datavision. matra then developed euclid quantum, a new generation in 1996, on the platform CAS. CADE (Computer Aided Software for Computer Aided Design and Engineering ). as in 1998 Matra Datavision specialized in software service provider, Dassault systè mes acquired QUANTUM products: Euclid Styler and Euclid Machinist.

In 1999 Matra Datavision published CASCADE in open source on the Internet as Open CASCADE.

 

FreeCAD is an open source CAD/CAE Tool Based on OpenCASCADE.

PythonOCCIt is designed to provide OpenCascade three-dimensional modeling/regionalization of a complete Python package. The first step is to place the focus on modeling and Import/Export (IGES, step by step, and export to reality) to provide a complete, large, the easy-to-use three-dimensional modeling uses the Python textbook.

Function Description: You can import STEP and IGES files. Draw basic geometric components (straight lines and arcs), create basic entities, and create entities by stretching the sketch or lofting. Use the chamfer or Boolean operation to modify the object. It can be saved in IGES, STEP, or STL format. You can print a two-dimensional profile. Export and import the dxf file (currently only straight lines and arcs are supported ). The 3D modeling engine uses Open Cascade, an Open source CAD modeling engine. The graphical interface uses the wxWidgets library.
