To learn about linux, you must install a linux. I have just started to learn linux like many people, and it is impossible to discard windows completely. Someone chooses to install a virtual machine on windows to run linux. The performance of virtual machines is naturally compromised. If your computer and I have the same memory of 2 GB, you will find that linux is very slow to boot on the virtual machine. And the screen size is not good. Even laruence said it is best not to learn linux in a virtual machine. Therefore, it is better to experience linux on a physical machine.
We can't do without windows. Therefore, the dual system seems to be a perfect strategy.
A simple way to install windows and linux is to install windows first and then linux. Because linux is installed first and then windows is installed, windows will overwrite the MBR sector, causing linux to fail to start. Note that "the number of primary partitions + extended partitions cannot exceed 4, and the maximum number of extended partitions is one.
My hard disk is claimed to be GB, but it is only about GB.
Partition planning for windows: C drive (30 GB, system), D drive (20 GB, software), E drive (100 GB, data), F drive (100 GB), others for linux
For linux partition installation, the solution allocation in laruence book is as follows.

The procedure is as follows:
1. use the PE tool to enter the computer BOIS. for simple and complete formatting, split the 30 GB primary partition as the C drive for windows, and then divide it into 20 GB for the D drive for windows. Create all the remaining partitions as extended partitions (note that they must be extended partitions ). Do not use win7 partition. by default, the first four partitions are created as the primary partition. 5th partitions are then extended partitions. The primary partition + extended partition cannot exceed 4, but we do not know how many primary partitions are required in linux. So do not use win7.
2. use a USB flash drive or a CD-Rom to install win7 in the 30 GB partition.
3. after win7 is installed, use the win7 partition function to split the edisk and the F disk in the extended partition.
4. attach CentOS to the remaining disk space.
The final result of my partition is as follows.

After installing Windows 7, do not rush to install software or patches for Windows 7. Install CentOS. Because partition may be poor, win7 should be reinstalled at last.
When installing CentOS, a black screen or unclear screen may appear because CentOS cannot recognize the video card. in this case, you can select the text installation mode. Add the graphics card driver after installation
