Technical knowledge + difficult to solve

The project was first set up on January 1, 2015, and the initial meeting was the 2nd group discussion requirement. Then 4 days of the initial set of requirements and drawings of the prototype, guided by the need to add new features, 12 days the second version of the prototype figure out.

The next step is the system framework WCF+MVC plus the knowledge of EF and Bootstrap. Although the framework is the team leader responsible for building, but each of us joined. After that, everyone starts to implement the module function that they are responsible for.

I am mainly responsible for the video upload and download, downloaded to two iterations of the time to complete. Because the framework used in the project, WCF, MVC, and EF are not previously exposed. So learn the knowledge you need to use while learning the underlying framework every day. At the beginning, we wanted to use MongoDB's unstructured database. In the middle also study MongoDB's use.

The one months of the project are planned every day, and every day there is a new knowledge to learn the task to do. Although really tired, but happy and full.

Team Efficiency

The first 6 people in our team joined 3 later. It took about 40 days to complete the first iteration from the very beginning. Comparatively speaking, time utilization efficiency and personnel arrangement are better.

Reasons for high efficiency:

First, we adopt the idea of agile development. A short meeting is held every morning to communicate what you are doing, what problems you are experiencing, and what you will do on this day.

Second, our team has a strong sense of collective consciousness. Have a strong sense of responsibility for the whole system. The whole project is not considered as the project leader's task. Each of us is the "leader", of course, related to the whole or with the group leader to adjust the consultation. Only everyone to the project as closely related to their own, to pay all the efforts to put in, the overall development efficiency will certainly improve.

Third, communication. When encountering problems, be patient to grasp the core of the problem to actively communicate. The team will certainly have different views, there is a good opinion, will collide with a lot of good ideas spark, make the system more perfect. But if everyone insists on their opinions and cannot collectively discuss a proposal that they think is appropriate, the result must be a waste of time. Effective communication is important.

After the exercise of this project, the realization of the theory is to be combined with the actual. The knowledge in books is sometimes found too shallow in practice and is not used in practical projects. Thousands of words into a sentence: the paper came to the end of shallow, it is known that this matter to preach.
