A problem that often bothers college students when I plan jobs on campus is: What kind of employer do I want to use? But there are few people who want to consider from the perspective of the other Party: Why should employers hire me? How can I meet the requirements of employers?

From the perspective of marketing, to find a job, college students must meet the needs of employers. What are the requirements of employers? It is very clear that it is not an educational institution, it aims to let you continue your study and then become a "All-round Development person"; it is not a charity, you cannot find a job to fulfill your sacred social responsibilities. What is it? It is a labor institution that employs you to "work" because you have paid the labor required to exchange wages.

Unfortunately, many college students do not understand this truth. They are willing to treat employers as tools to help them achieve their personal career goals. if they like it, they will go in and stay. If they do not like it, they will leave.

I once attended the finals of a provincial career planning competition as a judge. I heard a high talk from a college student and asked him a question: what do you do when your magnificent blueprint cannot be successfully implemented in the organization? His answer is simple: modify them! I asked another question: What if they do not adopt it? A: Leave them and continue looking for a suitable organization!

In fact, there are quite a few people who share similar opinions with this college student. According to the Ministry of Labor's "First Employment Survey" report, more than 1/3 of college students use their first job as a stepping stone for their careers, 16% of students chose their first job without too much consideration. The result is that the turnover rate of College Students in one year is as high as 50%, and the turnover rate is close to 3/4 in two years!

It should be said that college students begin to pay attention to personal career planning as a manifestation of social progress, because they know they must be responsible for their own lives and future. But at the same time, we also noticed the growth of a new kind of trend, that is, too much attention to personal development and ignoring the needs of society and employers, the criteria for selecting an employer and continuing to serve the employer are determined by whether the employer caters to or complies with his or her career plans. This personal-centered "career planning" that pursues the maximization of self-value is not the real career planning advocated by social development! Real Career Planning should be a combination of individual career goals and employer needs. It is a planning to achieve individual career goals while meeting the needs of employers!

How Should college students meet the needs of employers in career planning?

First, college students should be clear about the recruitment needs of employers.

Before selecting a candidate, college students should carefully analyze the reasons why the employer wants to recruit employees, the purpose of recruiting these employees, and the specific recruitment conditions, whether the employer's information is consistent with his career development direction and strategy. Do not embrace the mentality of "doing whatever you want, making a big deal and changing". The employer is hurt, and you are the one who wastes precious time.

Second, college students should understand the development needs of employers.

Employers have different key needs in different development periods. What college students need to do is to think about and find ways to meet these key needs, and strive to do their best. If you can make achievements to meet these key needs, you will have the opportunity to be appreciated and reused by employers. At the same time, in different stages of development, employers also have different expectations for employees. In the founding period, more employees are required to do more and less. In the rapid development period, employees must work and think, at maturity, employees need to think about it again.

Finally, college students should study the strategic development needs of employers.

If you want to achieve better development in your own unit, you need to study the strategic development needs of the employer and make predictions on the enterprise's future business priorities and job requirements, develop long-term plans accordingly.

In short, college students must realize that employers are not a tool for achieving themselves, but an important platform for valuable labor, we need to consider how to achieve our career planning goals on the premise of meeting the development needs of employers.
