Utah integrated traffic planning map (2011-2040)

Utah's unifiedtransportation Plan Map 2011-2040

The Utah integrated traffic planning map (2011-2040) uses Bing's image basemap to express the planning content for different stages through different colors. For example, red indicates the first stage, blue indicates the second stage, Green indicates the third stage, and yellow indicates the fourth stage. At the same time, the display scale is set for different projects, and only common road projects can be seen at a small scale.

Switch to the street basemap, and zoom in to see the status of all projects.

There are four types of projects, including interchange structures and facilities, stations, road projects, and transportation hubs. The project information includes the project location, name, investment, environmental impact assessment report, and project documentation.

This map makes it easy for the public to understand information about urban traffic engineering planning. You can not only add map resources for graph presentation and sharing, but also call its map service for further analysis in other applications.

Average daily traffic volume per year

AADT: annual average daily traffic)

The Utah 2011 average daily traffic map shows the latest and timely annual average daily traffic of the Utah Expressway and federated roads.

Different colors indicate different traffic volumes. A map displays three types of traffic:

State Road Traffic, federated road traffic, and freight car traffic.

Information about road traffic, such as road number, mileage number, location, AADT and axle percentage of various vehicles. A pie chart or column chart is used to show the ratio of the data. We can configure the display of the data.

This map is applied to the data statistics function of pie charts and bar charts, and the complex data is displayed intuitively. These data may initially be in the form of an Excel table. through ArcGIS online, common users can have GIS capabilities, and can call its map service to perform further analysis in other applications.Http://maps.udot.utah.gov/ArcGIS/rest/services/AADT_History/MapServer

Utah Pavement Management Modeling

Udot pavementmanagement Modeling

The Utah Pavement management modeling map shows the running of the dtims Pavement management model. This model uses the latest traffic and road condition data in 2011 and the expected funds for a 20-year analysis, including the planned STIP project.

The map consists of three business layers: Pavement Management 2011 dtims model, historical pavement conditions (2011), and regional boundaries. Each business layer represents different data I information based on different colors.

When the "Pavement Management 2011 dtims model" layer is checked, a timeline is displayed at the bottom of the page. Click start to display the Pavement Management Status for each year from January 1, 2013 to January 1, 2024.

That is to say, ArcGIS online supports the display of temporal data changes. The timeline is automatically added to the map using only the temporal layer. This function is very convenient for dynamic display of data with time characteristics.

1.1.4. OMS
Map

OMS Map

The OMS map contains ugate GIS verification data from the udot Asset Management System OMS, which is constantly updated. OMS maps will become a lightweight way to view OMS assets and road data.

OMS maps contain multiple business layers: segment pavement condition, station information, OMS drainage system list, OMS guardrail list, OMD shoulder list, OMS barbed wire list, segment pavement work plan, 2011 pavement damage.

OMS maps are characterized by registering and hosting the GIS data that can be shared externally through the platform, so that users can search for and find the data and services required by business applications in the online resource catalog, check the data you are interested in to learn about the highway assets.

1.1.5. 2011
Overall Road Condition Indicators

2011 pavement overallcondition Index

Udot measures the health condition of the road surface in segments: Excellent, good, and poor. The overall Condition Indicator represents the average level of the measurement value, including the rut depth, indicating smoothness and cracking degree of the asphalt or concrete pavement.

Because the map contains a large amount of historical data, you can perform statistical analysis on historical data according to different categories.

1.1.6. HPMs
Data Viewer

HPMs data viewer

The HPMs data viewer map shows the Visualized Expression of the geographical space information of the HPMs data of udot.

This map intuitively shows the relationships between different attributes of a road.

UtahUintah basinRegional Energy Development

Energy development inuintah basin Utah

The energy development map contains data on Oil and Gas Development in Uintah basin, Utah. Data sources include agrc, udnr, UGS, NREL, and udwr.

This map integrates map data from multiple sources. In addition to point and line data, it also includes the surface layers of wild and sensitive areas for analysis. Lines of different colors are used to represent different energy transportation routes. Taking the geographic map as the base map, we can intuitively show the relationships between oil wells, natural gas wells, oil and gas transportation routes, and the geographical environment.

Road function classification Map

Udot's functionalclass Map

The udot road function classification map defines the classification of roads and highways based on the functions of roads and highways in the overall road network.

The classification of road functions is adjusted according to the FHWA highway function classification criteria (FHWA highway functional classification guidelineS).

The map shows the classification of highways in Utah, with images and URLs embedded in highway properties.

The map is embedded into the udot Webpage through the "share" function, which makes it easy for website administrators to integrate the map.

Summary

What we can see is the map data and applications published by udot. However, we can also see the full picture of the uplan.

Uplan has the following features:

  • Simple functions, but rich in content and comprehensive application

Uplan customizes the personalized home page, integrates rich Utah traffic-related business data resources for visual map-based display and simple statistical analysis, and forms an online and customizable resource library. Business points include: traffic planning, traffic volume, road surface management model, traffic asset management, energy development, and road classification management.

  • Cloud-based and complete GIS application environment

ArcGIS online supports a variety of standard data and service types, such as WMS, kml, GPX, CSV, and shapefile data. Udot creates existing data into Web Maps and services through desktop applications, browsers, and other clients, and then registers it to the online resource directory of uplan, this allows other users to conveniently and quickly discover services, aggregate services, and use services to create their own Web Maps. You can also easily and quickly implement
The Business Map of the uplan map is used to map the data of the transportation business table. The application data of the transportation industry is superimposed and analyzed, and the ready-to-use application template is used, create a web application online with one click.

  • Form an enterprise-level GIS content management collaboration platform

In the uplan gallery, we can find that there are many data from existing GIS systems or other departments, such as planning departments, transportation management departments, and even the petroleum industry. Therefore, uplan provides an intuitive, out-of-the-box collaboration platform for managing and applying GIS content within and outside the Organization. Group members can quickly and efficiently share maps, data, and other information with other personnel by dividing groups based on business functional departments, improving the enterprise's same working ability. In addition, uplan groups users and develops corresponding sharing policies.
