CentOS running yum error Solution

Run yum to report Error: Cannot retrieve metalink for repository: epel. Please verify its path and try again

1. solution:

Vi/etc/yum. repos. d/epel. repo

Edit the # sign before the baseurl under [epel] and add the # sign before the list. The correct configuration is as follows:

[Epel]

Name = Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux 6-$ basearch

Baseurl = http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/?basearch

# Items list = https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink? Epel-6 & arch = $ basearch

Failovermethod = priority

Enabled = 1

Gpgcheck = 1

Gpgkey = file: // etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-EPEL-6

Note: All baseurls mentioned above are allowed

All consumer lists are in use # logout

2. Run again
