CentOS Set up network proxy

Source: Internet
Author: User
Set up the global agent as follows:

Modify the/etc/profile file and add the following:
http_proxy=http://username:password@yourproxy:8080/
ftp_proxy=http://username:password@yourproxy:8080/
Export Http_proxy
Export Ftp_proxy

If there is no password limit, the above content can be modified to the following:
http_proxy=http://yourproxy:8080/
ftp_proxy=http://yourproxy:8080/
Export Http_proxy
Export Ftp_proxy

If only for a user, then modify the ~/.bash_profile file, add the same content;

After the modification is complete, log off again.

For Yum agents, also set up the/etc/yum.conf file and add the following code:
proxy=http://username:password@yourproxy:8080/
#若无密码限制, this is the way
#proxy =http://yourproxy:8080/

So Yum's operation is done by proxy.
