CentOS Study Notes-Time Synchronization
Time
Anyone who has installed a Linux system may have this experience, that is, the time required for installing the windows system on this machine is correct, but after installing the linux system, even though the time zone is correct, the system time is incorrect. This is because the system is installed in UTC, so what is UTC? Simply put, UTC is the time in the 0 time zone, which is an international standard, while China is in the UTC + 8 time zone.
Another time is the local time, while Windows uses the local time. Therefore, do not select UTC for Linux installation.
If we select this option, we will find that:
The time difference between the local time and the CentOS machine is 8 hours. How can this problem be solved?
Install the network time synchronization software
Yum install-y ntp
Network Synchronization time (the following command is still valid when I use it. If it is invalid, Baidu will try it)
Ntpdate 0.rhel.pool.ntp.org
Synchronize to hardware clock
Hwclock-w
This step ensures that there will be no problem after the machine is restarted in the future. It is actually to change the bios time to the local time. Now, the machine displays the local time.
