CentOS6.5 install redis (3.0.3)

Download the redis installation package: redis

Download redis installation package: http://download.redis.io/releases/redis-3.0.3.tar.gz

Since my system is just installed, you need to install gcc to compile successfully. we recommend that you install gcc first and then install the file offline to install the gcc method, see yum install gcc at the end and then execute Installation as follows

Download, extract and compile Redis:

$ wget http://download.redis.io/releases/redis-3.0.3.tar.gz$ tar xzf redis-3.0.3.tar.gz$ cd redis-3.0.3$ make

The binaries that are now compiled are available insrcDirectory. Run Redis:

$ src/redis-server

You can interact with Redis using the built-in client:

$ src/redis-cliredis> set foo barOKredis> get foo"bar"

Install GCC offline

# rpm -ivh mpfr-2.4.1-6.el6.x86_64.rpm # rpm -ivh ppl-0.10.2-11.el6.x86_64.rpm # rpm -ivh cpp-4.4.7-4.el6.x86_64.rpm # rpm -ivh cloog-ppl-0.15.7-1.2.el6.x86_64.rpm # rpm -ivh gcc-4.4.7-4.el6.x86_64.rpm
