Source: Internet
Author: User

After the CentOS installation, some modules are turned on by default, but some modules are not required. IPV6, for example, is not yet popular in China.

How do I close IPV6?

The methods described below can also be used when closing other modules

The first step:

Find Module Name

Use the command: Lsmod view the system-initiated module to find out what we need

The 2 modules associated with IPV6 are net-pf-10 IPv6

Step Two:

Edit/etc/modprobe.d/dist.conf

At the end of the join

#edit by DWJ Note the editing information
Alias net-pf-10 off
Alias IPv6 off

After restarting, lsmod to see if it's still there.

In addition: the command to temporarily remove a module is MODPROBE-R + module name

For example, some Linux desktops do not have a touchpad disabled program, you can use Modprobe-r Psmouse temporarily remove the Touchpad module
