Centos7 Installing the Telnet service

1. Check whether the current system has telnet-server and xinetd installed, such as installation can be ignored.

Rpm-qa Telnet-server
Rpm-qa xinetd

2. Install the Telnet service and set the boot up.

Yum List | grep telnet Yum Install telnet-server.x86_64yuminstall telnet.x86_64

3. Install the XINETD service and set the boot up.

Yum List | grep xinetd Yum Install Xinetd.x86_64systemctl Enable Xinetd.service

4. Set the Telnet service to boot.

Systemctl Enable Telnet.socket

5. Restart the service (the Telnet service relies on the xinetd daemon to restart the XINETD service after installing Telnet-server).

Systemctl start Telnet.socketsystemctl start xinetd
