centos7.x installing Mysql5.6 with Yum

First check if there is an installed MySQL

# Yum List Installed | grep MySQL

If there is a delete:

Yum Remove software Name

CentOS 7 's Yum source does not have a normal mysql-sever file installed in MySQL and needs to be downloaded from the official website

# wget http://dev.mysql.com/get/mysql-community-release-el7-5.noarch.rpm# RPM-IVH mysql-community-release-el7-5.noarch.rpm# Yum Install Mysql-community-server

Restart MySQL service after successful installation

# Service Mysqld Restart

The initial installation of MySQL is a root account without a password

How to set a password

# mysql-u root  mysql> set password for ' root ' @ ' localhost ' = password (' 666 ');  Mysql> exit

Get!

MySQL has more than one user in the Mysql.user table after the installation is complete, it is recommended to clear other users other than root, to ensure security and unnecessary bugs

Mysql> Delete from Mysql.user where host! = ' localhost ' or user! = ' root ';mysql> exit
