Central bank Digital Money Institute quietly listed staff: There has been a period of time

Recently, reporters in the interview found that the attention of the central bank digital Currency Institute has quietly "listed." In an international building near the city of Beijing, the "People's Bank of China Digital Currency Institute" nameplate has appeared in a column of building units. The building is dominated by a large number of subsidiaries of the Chinese banknote company. The central bank's digital currency institute is located on the 9 floor of the building, in the same level as the banknote Identification Center.

According to staff, "the PBOC Digital Money Research Institute" has been listed for some time.

According to previously announced information, the Digital Money Institute is the central bank's specialized in digital currency technology and application of possible research institutions. In early 2016, the People's Bank of China held its first digital currency symposium and identified the central bank's strategic goal of issuing digital money. The preparation of the central bank's digital currency research has become the focus of all circles.

It is learnt that the former deputy director of the Science and Technology division of the People's Bank Yao Mai as the director of the Digital Currency Research Institute, and deputy director of the Secretary for Science and Technology, Digang, director of information technology, Silk Road Fund. The Institute will set up 7 departments with different division of labour.
