Click the Explorer icon on the taskbar in Windows7 and the library view opens by default. The following methods allow you to customize this starting position.
Of course if you like the system opens the library view by default, so you don't have to change it. But I would like to change the starting position to "My Computer", more in line with my operating habits.
Method:
If the Explorer is not open, hold down the SHIFT key while you right-click the Resource Manager icon on the taskbar and select Properties
If the resource Manager is open, right-click the Explorer icon, in the Jump menu, right-click Windows Explorer, and choose Properties (you can do this if the Explorer is not open)
On the Shortcuts tab, in the Target column, the default is%windir%explorer.exe
Change it to%systemroot%explorer.exe/n,::{450d8fba-ad25-11d0-98a8-0800361b1103} The taskbar Explorer opens My Documents by default
Change it to%systemroot%explorer.exe/e,::{20d04fe0-3aea-1069-a2d8-08002b30309d} The taskbar Explorer opens My Computer by default (this is exactly what I want to do)
Of course you can change it to another location. If you want to make trouble for others, change it to a recycle Bin, just fill in the "Target" column%systemroot%explorer.exe/e,::{645ff040-5081-101b-9f08-00aa002f954e}
Other Locations:
Document Library
%userprofile%appdataroamingmicrosoftwindowslibrariesdocuments.library-ms
Default browser
%WINDIR%EXPLORER.EXE/N,::{871C5380-42A0-1069-A2EA-08002B30309D}
User Personal Folders
%windir%explorer.exeshell:profile
If you know the GUID (globallyuniqueidentifiers globally unique identifier), you can also change it to another location.
