Search PromptAfter Google launched it for a long time, Baidu finally got stuck and launched similar features. Indeed, this is a good function and should be used for reference. I think this will also become the standard configuration of the search box in the future.

Wake up promptEvery time we enter a character, a search prompt will be displayed immediately, but sometimes there is a problem: If you enter a word and then click somewhere else, that is, after the search box loses focus, it is difficult to see the Search Prompt again. The only way is to delete and re-enter. However, Google is different. Even if the focus is lost after a search, when the focus is restored, you can click the downward arrow key to get a search prompt. Later, Baidu appeared to have discovered this problem and added this feature. (Although this feature is rarely noticed .)

Pinyin search promptThe search box not only prompts Chinese characters, but also prompts Chinese Characters Based on the input pinyin. However, Baidu's pinyin tips are at least a little inferior to Google's, that is, they do not support simple spelling. For example, the input of "TJ" is in the English format of TJ in Baidu, google can find "Tongji University" and even support Chinese and English competitions.

The search box automatically obtains the focus after searching.This was just recently discovered by Baidu. After a previous search, if you want to continue searching for another keyword, You need to click the search box to enter it. This is obviously very troublesome, recently, Baidu has changed a little bit. You can find that after the first search is completed, you can enter it directly in the input box, because the cursor is already in the input box (even after turning the page, the cursor is still in the input box ). The change is small but convenient. Other search engines have not changed.

Difficult to selectWhen you want to change the keyword after the first search, most people use the mouse to select the keyword from right to left and directly enter the new keyword. However, since Baidu used the search prompt, I found it difficult to perform this operation because the first selection was impossible. You must click it in the search box before selecting it, it is found that when you click the input box, an action is triggered, causing the selection to fail, but the same thing does not appear in Google.
