When installing MySQL, the following error occurs: checking for termcap functions library... configure: Error: No curses/termcap library found.

Solution:

Download and install the software package

I. The system is the RedHat series:

Yum list | grep ncurses

Yum-y install ncurses-devel

Yum install ncurses-devel

 

2. The system is Ubuntu or Debian:

Apt-cache search ncurses

Apt-Get install libncurses5-dev

#./Configure \
-- Prefix =/usr/local/MySQL \
-- With-extra-charsets = all

# Make & make install
