1. Disable sleep. The occupied space is the same as the memory size.
Control Panel-performance and maintenance-power options-sleep, remove the hooks before enabling sleep.
2. Move the virtual memory to another disk.
3. Reduce space occupied by system restoration. <500 M
4. Move the temporary file: Right-click "my computer"-properties-advanced-environment variables, and change the TEMP and TMP paths in user variables and system variables to "d: emp (first create a temp folder on disk D, of course, it is not necessarily a disk D, as long as it is not a system disk, but also to reduce the generation of fragments .) Both temp and tmp store temporary files.
5. Modify the IE cache folder, open "internet Options", and click Settings on the right side of "Temporary internet Files". The disk space used is set to 50 MB or smaller, which I personally think is not too large, it's too big or not fast. Click "Move folder" to remove the storage location of temporary files from the system disk, such as D: emporary internet files.
6. Move the default folder of OE: Open OE, select one, select Tools-option, and maintain: click "Storage folder" to remove it from the system disk, for example, D: outlook
7. Right-click my documents on the desktop and remove its "target folder" from the system disk.
8. Clean up the garbage regularly. In the "program"-"attachment"-"System Tools"-"Disk Cleanup"-"disk" menu, check all the items in the "Disk Cleanup" drop-down box, in other options, only one restore point can be left for the system.
9. Perform disk fragment on a regular basis. A large number of fragments affect the running speed.
10. Do not install applications on the system disk. Change the installation path during installation. Select custom installation for some software. All my applications are mounted on d disks.
