Financial reports show that by the end of June this year, China Mobile's total revenue reached 196.46 billion yuan, an increase of 17.9% over the same period last year; net profit reached 54.849 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 44.7%, higher than the estimated growth level of about 35% of investment banks.

The reason why China Mobile's performance continues to grow rapidly lies in the rapid increase of users and the increase in value-added business income. According to China Mobile, the total number of mobile phone users in China Mobile has reached 0.415 billion. In the first half of this year, the number of mobile phone users has increased by 45.25 million, with an average monthly increase of more than 7.5 million. The average monthly call time for each household has reached 496 minutes, the average monthly fee is 84 RMB. In addition, the value-added business revenue, including text messages, also reached about 53 billion yuan, close to 27% of China Mobile's total revenue, which is the main profit source outside the voice business, new services, including mobile music downloads, mobile newspapers, and fetion, have maintained rapid growth.

The financial report also revealed that China Mobile's capital expenditure in the first half of the year had reached 65.4 billion yuan. China Mobile said that the company is expected to further increase investment in capital expenditure in the second half of the year. At this point, it is rumored that China Mobile plans to invest 50 billion yuan in the second half of the year to expand its existing GSM network to make up for the shortcomings in the Early 3G network operation in China.

According to China Mobile's financial report, its net profit is more than 5 times the total profits of China Unicom and China Netcom that have released the semi-annual report, and its income level is more than 2.5 times the total profits of the two companies.
