China's first embedded Neural Network Processor released
GuideChina's first embedded neural network processor (NPU) chip was officially released in Beijing. The chip subverts the traditional computer architecture and is developed by the State Key Laboratory of star micro-digital multimedia chip technology, mass production was achieved in March 6 this year.

Star micro recently showed the first NPU chip product in China with the VC0758 model. It has integrated four NPU kernels and the SVAC National Standard Audio and Video Encoder with 1080P @ 30FPS, h. other audio and video standards such as 264 are said to be the world's first embedded video acquisition compression coding system-level chip with deep learning artificial intelligence.
In terms of the market, this chip can be used in Embedded Machine Vision fields such as HD video surveillance, SMART driving assistance, drones, and robots. It is said that the chip has been successfully industrialized in the video surveillance field.
