First, use the wizard to create a simple select query
Using a query in Chinese Access 2000 also allows you to view, change, and analyze data in different ways, as well as to use a query as the recordsource for forms, reports, and data access pages. The most common type of query is the SELECT query, which retrieves the data from the table using the specified criteria, and then displays the data in the order in which it is needed. When you do this, you can create a query by using the Designer, wizard, just as you would with the Chinese visual FoxPro 6 (see the Follow up course for this web), only when you're doing it in a different way than the name of the dialog box and how it works. But Chinese Access 2000 is easier for beginners to master and less of a theory to use.
If you are a busy person, you can quickly create a simple and useful query by using the Simple Query Wizard provided by Chinese Access 2000, and you specify the data in the retrieved field in one or more tables or queries. If you want, you can also calculate totals, counts, and averages for a group of records or all records, as well as a minimum or maximum value in a field, but you cannot limit the retrieved records by setting criteria. To use it, you can follow these steps.
Step one, see Figure 1, in the Database window, click the query item in the Objects list, and then click the New button on the Database window toolbar.

In step two, select the Simple Query Wizard in the list in the New Query dialog box, and then click OK to see Figure 2.

Step three, after you go to the Simple Query Wizard, select the table you want to query from the table/query Drop-down list shown in Figure 3.

Step four, select the fields you want to query from the Available fields list, and then move them to the selected Fields list by clicking the Add button, as shown in Figure 4.
