Chinese characters cannot be entered in eclipse in Ubuntu 10.04

In eclipseCodeIn the editing area, right-click and choose input methods> scim bridge input method. After selection, you can enter Chinese characters.
If no scim bridge input method is available, install it as follows:
Install scim-bridge and scim-qtimm. Make sure that you have correctly set the Chinese environment, open the terminal, run the following command, or use the new software manager. search for "scim-bridge" and "scim-qtimm" and mark the installation.

Sudo apt-Get install scim-qtimm

Sudo im-switch-s scim

Edit the scim configuration file generated by the im-Switch

Gksu gedit/etc/X11/xinit/xinput. d/scim

Change the default gtk_im_module = scim to gtk_im_module = "scim-bridge"
