With Fabrik, you can create applications in a complex scope, from simple contact forms to applications that are as complex as Job Search websites or defect tracking systems.
Fabrik can be divided into four categories: forms, manage reports, visualizations, and extensible.
1. Forms)
1. 13 default field types -- elements are the widgets that collect your form's data. fabrik provides a wide range of elements from simple fields to drop downs that look up data from other database tables. most elements allow you to stipulate common settings, such as their default value, size, and whether they are hidden. elements are gadgets used to collect (obtain) data in your form. Fabrik provides a large number of elements, from simple fields to the following menus (data in the database table ), most elements allow you to specify public settings, such as their default values and whether to hide them.
2. Ajax verification -- any Fabrik element can have a validation applied to it. on submission the form's data must conform to each of these validations or the user will be returned to the form, with the each of the elements that have failed validation highlighted with an error message defined by yourself. any Fabrik element has a verification application. When you submit the data in this form, you must confirm that each item is valid. If the verification fails, the error message is highlighted.
3. Email Notification -- within your form you can define two types of email notifications; receipts and notification emails. receipts are sent to the user who is filling in the form, they are used to give the user a permanent record of the information that they have filled in. fabrik forms can be set to send receipts automatically or to display a check box to allow the user to opt in to sort ing the receept. the Receiptext is constructed with the user of place holders. In your form, you can define two types of email. Receiving mailbox and notification mailbox. Receipts is the sender of the table? (Send to the user ). They are used to permanently record the user's information (entered at registration, archive for backup ). The Fabrik form can be set to be automatically sent to receipts. Alternatively, you can use the check box option to check whether the user can receive receip. The content of this receipt text is generated when the user registers. In fact, you can enter two mailboxes, one for the user to receive the email that automatically sends messages and one for the important notifications)
4. Record to database -- Fabrik forms can be set to record to a database. if this option is selected a database table is created which mirrors the format of the form's elements. if the form's elements are added or altered then the database table structure is altered to match. Fabrik can be set to record to the database. If you select database table creation through this option, all elements in the form will create an image to the database. If you add or modify a form element, the database table structure is modified accordingly.
5. Access Control: display the record permission, edit the record permission, edit the record permission only by yourself (overwrite the "edit record" access permission, only the Creator), and add the record.
6. Multi-Page forms (Forms) -- when your forms have a large number of elements, it is often advisable to split the form into a multi page form. form's can be split into pages on any of the form's groups. each page can be set to store the submitted form data into temporary storage, allowing your users to leave part completed form's and return to fill them in at a later date without loosing previusly entered data . When there are too many elements in your form, they can often be divided into multiple pages, and the form can be divided into any form group, each page can be set to store the submitted data to the temporary storage, allowing your users to save when they leave (not completed, the data entered earlier will not be lost when it comes back later.
2. Manage reports (Management)
1. easy creation (crud) -- Fabrik tables allow you to create a wide range of views on your data. they integrate seamlessly with Fabrik forms, allowing the creation and modification of records. fabrik tables allow you to create a wide range of data views. They seamlessly integrate Fabrik forms and allow you to create and modify records.
2. Powerful filtering (powerful filter) -- seeing your data is one thing, drawing meaningful information from is it quiet another! That's why Fabrik gives you a wide range of methods to search your data. seeing your data is one thing. finding meaningful data is another thing. Why does Fabrik search your data for a large number of modules.
3. Join table data ("join" table data)-it is flexible to use a variable to add data to a relational database from different tables. For example, we can link a table containing a series of articles and a table containing a user list. This type of link is called join. Two tables are joined together.
4. Detailed record views -- as well as creating links to edit table records with the corresponding Fabrik form, Fabrik tables can also supply links to view a detailed page containing all the records data. both the form and detailed view can be modified with the use of templates. just like creating a link to edit a record using the corresponding Fabrik form, the Fabrik table also provides a link to display detailed pages containing all the record data. Both forms and detailed display pages can be changed by templates.
3. visualizations (visualization)
1. Calendar-Event Calendar
2. Google Maps-Google Maps
3. Google charts-Google charts
Iv. extensible)
1. Plug-ins)
2. Templates (Template)
3. Javascript events (JavaScript event)
4. Custom validations (custom check)
