2. Impact on the environment: First, health hazards
Invasive pathway: inhalation, ingestion, percutaneous absorption. Health hazards: inhalation, ingestion, percutaneous absorption is harmful to the body. Has a strong irritant effect on the eyes, skin, mucous membranes and respiratory tract. After inhalation can be caused by laryngeal, bronchial spasm, edema, chemical pneumonia, pulmonary edema and death. Toxic manifestations include burning sensation, coughing, wheezing, laryngitis, shortness of breath, headache, nausea and vomiting.
Ii. toxicological information and environmental behavior
Toxicity: It is very toxic and has a stimulating effect on all tissues. Acute toxicity: ld50240mg/kg (mouse through mouth); Lc501000mg/m3 (mouse inhalation)
Hazardous characteristics: Flammable, in the event of an open flame, high heat or contact with oxidizing agent, there is a risk of burning explosion. Heat, contact with acid or acid mist to release poisonous fumes. Combustion (decomposition) Products: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen chloride.
3. On-Site emergency monitoring methods: Direct-to-water sample gas chromatographic method
4. Laboratory Monitoring methods: Gas chromatographic method Separation of chlorinated methyl acetate, methyl propionate and methyl butyrate by capillary gas chromatography with carbowax 20M and SE-30 column-(korhonen,i.o.o.), Chromatographia, 1982,15,no8,505-508 (English) Digest of analytical chemistry, 1984.3
5. Environmental standards: The highest allowable concentration of hazardous substances in the air of the former Soviet Union 5mg/m3
6. Emergency treatment and disposal methods: First, leakage emergency treatment
Evacuate the contaminated area personnel to the safe zone quickly and isolate and strictly restrict access. It is recommended that emergency treatment personnel wear self-contained positive pressure respirator and wear anti-virus clothing. Do not contact the leak directly. To prevent entry into the sewer, drainage ditch and other restrictive space. A small amount of leakage: adsorbed or absorbed with sand or other non-combustible materials. A large number of leaks: build a dike or dig a pit for shelter, with foam cover, reduce steam disaster. The pump is transferred to a tanker or a dedicated collector to be recovered or transported to a waste disposal site for disposal.
Second, protective measures
Respiratory protection: A self-priming filter gas mask (full hood) is required for possible exposure to vapor. When emergency rescue or evacuation, wear oxygen breathing apparatus. Eye protection: protection from respiratory protection. Body protection: Wear a clothing type of anti-virus clothing. Hand Protection: wear rubber gloves. Other: Smoking, eating and drinking are prohibited on the job site. Equipment for flushing eyes and skin is available on site. Finish the work and clean thoroughly. Store the contaminated clothes separately, after washing.
Third, first aid measures
Skin Contact: Immediately remove contaminated clothing and rinse with plenty of flowing water for at least 15 minutes. Medical treatment. Eye Contact: Immediately lift the eyelid, rinse thoroughly with plenty of flowing water or saline for at least 15 minutes. Medical treatment. Inhalation: Rapid departure from the scene to fresh air. Keep respiratory tract unobstructed. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, artificial respiration is carried out immediately. Medical treatment. Ingestion: the wrong person to rinse the mouth with water, to drink milk or egg whites. Medical treatment.
Fire fighting methods: Fire fighters must wear gas masks, wear full-body fire service. Spray water to cool the container and, if possible, move the container from the fire to the empty place. Extinguishing agent: Fog-like water, anti-soluble foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide, sand. Disperse the vapor with mist-like water.

Preparation"Method One"
The preparation method is obtained by esterification reaction between chloroacetic acid and methanol. Clch2cooh+ch3oh→clch2cooch3+h2o
The methanol and chloroacetic acid were mixed evenly by mass ratio 0.336:1, stirred and heated, and esterification reaction was carried out under 105~110℃. During the reaction process, the ternary azeotropic of methyl chloroacetate, water and methanol is continuously steamed, and the separated methanol and water are re-returned to the reaction pot by the ester separator, and the coarse ester is neutralized with sodium carbonate. The neutralized crude ester was first used atmospheric distillation to cut 130 ℃ fractions, then the decompression distillation, collected 65℃/79.98kpa fractions, that is, the finished product of methyl chloroacetate, the yield of about 96%.
"Method Two"
The esterification reaction of chloroacetic acid and methanol was made. The methanol and chloroacetic acid were mixed evenly by weight ratio 0.366:1, stirred and heated, esterification reaction under 105-110 ℃. During the reaction process, the ternary azeotropic of methyl chloroacetate, water and methanol is continuously steamed, and the separated methanol and water are re-poured into the reaction pot by the ester separator, and the coarse ester is neutralized with sodium carbonate. The neutralized crude ester was used to cut 130 ℃ fractions by atmospheric distillation, and then decompression distillation was carried out to collect 65 ℃ (8kPa) fractions, which were finished by methyl chloroacetate. The yield is about 96%. When used in pesticide intermediates, the obtained crude ester by washing, neutralization can obtain the content of more than 95% of products, can be used directly. Production of 1t of this specification of methyl chloroacetate, about the consumption of chloroacetic acid 800kg, methanol 330kg. In the room laboratory preparation is often in the chloroacetic acid and methanol mixed liquid drops concentrated sulfuric acid, heating reflux 5h, and then by neutralization, washing, drying, decompression distillation of the finished product.Customs
