Good features, but the need for high hardware configuration support, which makes many users difficult to choose. In fact, we can take a compromise by selectively turning off some types of file previews, leaving only the common file format previews. For example, because the video file preview relative to the picture and other files preview, occupy more resources, we can consider to cancel the video file preview, keep pictures and other file formats preview.
First step: Create a new Notepad, and then enter the following:
Windows Registry Edit Version 5.00
[-hkey_classes_root.avishellex]
[-hkey_classes_root.asfshellex]
[-hkey_classes_root.wmvshellex]
[-hkey_classes_root.rmshellex]
[-hkey_classes_root.rmvbshellex]
Finally, save the file in the. reg format (the registry file), and then double-click the file to import it into the registry.
Tip: Similarly, if you want to cancel a file format preview function, the corresponding format of the file suffix added.
Step two: Go to any folder, click tools → folder options, switch to the "View" tab in the Open dialog box, and then pull the right slider in the Advanced Settings area to find "Always show icons, never show thumbnails."
When you are finished setting, click OK to exit the dialog box.
If you want to cancel the video file preview limit, please go to Registry Editor, find the corresponding item in the "First step" action, and then delete the corresponding key values.
