CISCO VLAN ACLs

For Cisco VLAN ACLs first have to define the standard ACL or extented ACL for the selected traffic

Note that the selected traffic here is not the final operation on traffic, but rather determines what traffic is handled with VLAN ACLs

If there is no standard ACL or extented ACL that represents this traffic complete release for VLAN ACLs. General

The standard ACL or extented ACL has only permit statements.

Configure Vacl

1. Configuring Standard ACLs

This ACL only defines the matched traffic to be given to the VACL to handle

2. Define VLAN Access-map

3. Finally apply VLAN access-map to the VLAN

Note that the VLAN ACL handles traffic in both directions. But the specific direction can be specified in the standard ACL or the extented ACL.
