Enables the specific filters that are available in the local Help viewer. The class library information for the. NET Compact Framework can be obtained by referencing the platform and version information in the documentation that accompanies each type and member. These filters are available only in the local Help viewer of the. NET Framework SDK or the Visual Studio 2005 Combined Help Collection.
In addition to the local Help Viewer filter, several sections of the type and member topics provide information about supported device platforms, platform version support, and platform-specific behavior (in some cases). The Platforms section lists Windows Mobile for Pocket PC, Windows Mobile for Smartphone, and Windows CE. Windows CE includes devices that run Windows CE except for the Pocket PC and Smartphone. The Version Information section indicates which version of the. NET Compact Framework supports a particular type or member. At the end of the Remarks section, you will find any platform annotations that may be applicable, such as how a particular method operates on a mobile device platform.

can be used to display filters for namespaces, types, and members that are supported by the. NET Compact Framework, depending on the product you are currently using.

Note
The mobile device platform information in the platforms section is inaccurate in the various topics related to method and constructor overloading, and will be corrected in a later release.
Note that the version Information section of each topic will always correctly indicate the. NET Compact Framework Support, regardless of the error or missing mobile device platform in the Platform section.

Filter in member summary topics
In a topic that lists members of a type, you can view only those members that are supported by the. NET Compact Framework. Note that the mobile device icon will indicate the members supported by the. NET Compact Framework.
