Classic Shell 3.6.8 Chinese Version

Classic shell is a tool used to optimize Windows 7 and 8 user interfaces.

The motivation for the software development was to be dissatisfied with Windows 7's removal of the classic "start" menu. As a result, he developed his own program to replace the "Start" menu of the system (see his article on codeproject). Later, more and more users who are not satisfied with the Windows 7 interface gradually installed the Classic shell. Many users gave him many suggestions. After the "Start" menu is removed from Windows 8, Classic shell provides the "Start" button and menu function, and the number of users increases. Classic shell now has many features, greatly improving the user experience on Windows 7 and 8.

Features

1. Optimize and beautify the "Start" menu:
   • Replace the system "start" menu in Windows 7 to make it look like Windows 2000 or Windows XP, or use the Custom Skin beautification "start" menu and "start" button.
   • You can customize the project and icon of the "Start" menu.
   • You can restore "All Programs" from the system "start" menu to the Windows XP pop-up menu, so that it is no longer in a small corner, so that you can easily open the program.
2. Add the Start menu for Windows 8 and skip the metro Start Screen.
3. Modify the resource manager:
   • Add the "up" button.
   • Restores the drop-down list in the address bar to the XP drive list.
   • The title bar (Folder name) and icon are displayed in the window.
   • Add the resource manager toolbar and restore the "cut" and "copy" buttons that disappear from Windows 7.
   • The status bar Displays disk space, space occupied by files in the current directory, and other information.

Installation Method of Chinese package

The Installation File of Classic shell already comes with the menu-based Chinese file, but the configuration interface of the program is still in English. This Chinese package converts the configuration program interface to Chinese. The installation steps are as follows.

1. Go to the official website www.classicshell.net to download the Classic shell installation package.
2. Download the Chinese language package.
3. First, run the EXE file of the installation package to install the original version.
4. Then extract the package file and copy the zh-CN.dll file to the installation directory of Classic shell.
5. Run the settings of Classic shell program (if you see that the configuration program interface is already in Chinese, you don't have to work out ).
   • Select "All Settings" single region at the bottom of the interface to display all configurations on the interface.
   • Find the language tab, drag the list box in the tab to the bottom, find ZH-CN (Simplified Chinese), and select this option.
   • Click "OK" on the page. A dialog box is displayed, prompting you to restart the Classic shell to apply the new language.
6. Restart Classic shell (if you do not know how to restart Classic shell, you can log out and log on to the system again, or restart the computer ).

Program Interface

If you do not use skin, you can modify the system's "start" menu so that "All Programs" are no longer squashed in the menu corner.

In addition to modifying the Start menu, you can also optimize the resource manager to restore some features to Windows XP.
