2.4.6 database cloud
The database cloud solution is based on the overall cloud computing architecture, as shown in Figure 2-34.

Database cloud mainly refers to the structured/semi-structured database processing system built on the cloud platform.
Database cloud can be built either on a virtualization platform or on a physical platform.
In scenarios with high performance requirements, the system is generally built based on a physical platform and does not require Elastic Computing (dotted lines in the figure). In scenarios with large capacity requirements and many application users, you can use a form built on the virtualization platform.
The database cloud generally appears in the form of a database all-in-one machine and will be enhanced in the following aspects:
L database acceleration: To achieve better database performance, in-depth optimization is performed on the hardware layer and the elastic storage layer, for example, using an SSD card with faster read/write speed, adopts unique database-oriented read/write algorithms;
L database reinforcement: to ensure that the database data is not lost or damaged, services such as backup/recovery, Disaster Tolerance, and regular verification of the database are added to the middleware service layer to improve data availability.
