Graphics that are drawn using an AutoShape in a Word2010 document typically include multiple independent shapes, and when you need to select, move, and modify the size, you often need to select all the independent shapes, which is inconvenient to operate. In fact, the user can use the "combination" command to combine a number of independent shapes of a graphic object, and then the combination of the graphic objects to move, modify the size of operations, such as the following steps are described:
Step 1th, open the Word2010 document window, click the Select button in the Edit group in the Start Ribbon, and select the Select Object command from the Open menu, as shown in Figure 2010071404.

Step 2nd, move the mouse pointer over the Word2010 page, and the mouse pointer is the white mouse arrow shape. Press and hold the CTRL key while you left-click to select all the independent shapes, as shown in Figure 2010071405.

Step 3rd, right-click all of the selected independent shapes, point to Group on the Open shortcut menu, and select the group command in the next menu that opens, as shown in Figure 2010071406.

With the above settings, the selected independent shapes will be grouped together into a single drawing object that can be used for overall operation. If you want to manipulate a shape in a grouped object individually, you can right-click the grouped object, point to Group on the Open shortcut menu, and select Ungroup in the next menu that opens, as shown in Figure 2010071407.
