Disable and enable MySQL foreign key constraints:

Whether the MySQL foreign key constraint is enabled is indicated by a global variable:

FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS = 0; Disabled

FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS = 1; Enabled

To view the current FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS value, run the following command:

SELECT @ FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS;

Disable foreign key constraints:

SET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS = 0;

Enable foreign key constraints:

SET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS = 1;
