How to view environment variables under Linux and Windows
First, view the names and values of all environment variables:
Under Linux: Export

Under Windows: Set

Second, according to the name of the environment variable to check the value:

Linux under: ECHO $ environment variable name
such as: Echo $ORACLE _home

Under Windows: Set environment variable name

such as: Set $ORACLE _home

Third, set environment variables:
Under Linux: Export environment variable name = value
such as: $export oracle_home=/home/oracle/product/10.2.0

Under Windows: Set environment variable name = value

such as: >set Path=d:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1\bin
