Common Flash playback failures

1) Internet Explorer has encountered an add-on fault and needs to be disabled.

When a fault occurs, the following add-on is running.

File: Flash. ocx

Company: Macro media, Inc

Description: Macromedia Flash Player 7? This free Player is required to riew the wehsite .........

Fault analysis: The Flash. ocx control conflicts with the system due to the low version of the installed Flash play.

Solution:

1. download and install the latest Flash plug-in.

2. If a new Flash cannot be installed, uninstall the original F plug-in before installing it.

 

2) The Flash9.ocx loading error occurs.

Fault Analysis: caused by failure or damage to the Flash9.ocx Control

Solution:
1. Register The Flash. ocx and swflash. ocx controls again.
Run the following command in Win98/ME:
Regsvr32 % windir % \ system \ Macromed \ Flash \ flash. ocx
Regsvr32 % windir % \ system \ Macromed \ Flash \ swflash. ocx

Run the following command in 2000/XP:
Regsvr32 % windir % \ system32 \ Macromed \ Flash \ flash. ocx
Regsvr32 % windir % \ system32 \ Macromed \ Flash \ swflash. ocx

2. It may be caused by the COMCTL32.DLL file. This file may be replaced when IE or windows is upgraded. Maybe the new version of COMCTL32.DLL has a BUG.
Find a windows installation CD, search for it, find a file named COMCTL32.DL _, copy it, use winrar to extract the file as a COMCTL32.DLL file, and overwrite the existing file.

3), "Update ActiveX of" Management add-on "is grayed out and cannot be updated

Fault analysis: The Flash. ocx file is damaged.

Resolution method:
In C: \ WINDOWS \ system32 \ Macromed \ Flash, delete the flash. ocx in this folder.
Then download the latest Flash plug-in again.

 

4), unable to browse the webpage video, without any prompts.

Fault Analysis: Flash is intercepted in other plug-ins of IE, or Flash plug-in has been installed, but the plug-in is damaged, and the system has not detected it.

Resolution method:
1. Open the section of other plug-ins
2, 3, modify the Registry: (back up first)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ ActiveX Compatibility \ {D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000}
Delete {D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000} subkeys
