ping command:


Syntax format:

ping [options] ip/domain name


Options

-C #: Specify Ping several times

-W #: Specifies the total number of times to wait for a ping

-W #: Specifies the time per ping


Traceroute ip/Domain Name

The Traceroute command lets you track the routing path of network packets


MTR: function is a collection of ping and Tranceroute functions


-A: Specify the source Address

-N: Specify Destination Address


SS: Command to view listening ports for replacing the netstat command


Parameters: Same as Netstat


Common commands:

Ss-tlunp


Ethtool: Used to query or set hardware information


Common commands:

Ethtool eth0 View physical machine NIC Information

Ethtool-s eth0 Viewing traffic information for network cards
