CLV technology: (Constant-Linear-Velocity) Constant line speed reading method. The technology used in an optical drive that is less than 12 times faster. It is used to change the speed of the rotating disc at any time to keep the data transfer rate unchanged. The speed of reading data along the internal direction is much faster than that of the external side.
  
CAV technology: (Constant-Angular-Velocity) Constant Angular speed reading method. It reads data on the disc at the same speed. However, the internal data on the CD is less efficient than the external data transmission speed. The greater the external data transmission speed, the higher the speed is the highest data transmission rate.
  
PCAV technology: (Partial-CAV) area constant angular speed reading method. It is a new technology that integrates CLV and CAV. It uses CAV technology to read the outer edge data and CAV technology to improve the overall data transmission speed.
  
UDMA mode: (Ultra-DMA/33), a data transmission method developed by Intdl and Quantum in 1996. The I/O system's burst data transmission speed can reach 33 MB/s, it can also reduce the CPU usage of the I/O system. Now we see the UDMA/66, which is twice faster.

HD-CD :( High-Density-CD) High Density disc. Large capacity. The single-sided capacity is 4.7 GB, the dual-sided capacity is up to 9.4 GB, and some reach 7 GB. HD-CD disc adopts MPEG-2 standard.
  
MPEG-2: motion images and sound encoding standards developed by ISO/IEC in 1994. Compression and decompression of broadcast-level images and stereo signals.
