Communications link failure due to underlying exception

When running myeclipse today, the console encountered an error message: communications link failure due to underlying exception:
Check the information on the Internet for the possible reasons:

The default timeout time of MySQL is 28800 seconds, that is, 8 hours. If the idle time exceeds 8 hours, an exception is thrown.

The solution is as follows:

Edit/etc/My. INI, (it is a Windows operating system, and Linux is/etc/My. CNF) set the timeout time to 10 years (which seems to be the maximum), and add the following after [mysqld:
Wait_timeout = 315360000

 

In this way, restart MySQL and solve the error. The connection is normal.
