Synereo has released two new products to expand its R-chain blockchain infrastructure. Special-k and Rholang are likely to compete fiercely with Ethereum.
The potential of blockchain technology is almost limitless. Synereo, an Israeli company based in Tel Aviv, recently announced a major advance in the de-centralized storage protocol.
The company created the first extensible, Turing-complete blockchain infrastructure, R-chain. In the weeks following the introduction of the R chain, Synereo has announced the release of two new components: Special-k and Rholang, which are part of the Synereo 2.0 technology stack, making it possible to develop a de-centralized computing system on the R chain.
From Synereo's newest blog, special-k is a storage and content transport layer on the r chain that can transmit data in various formats. Special-k is a smart contract language written by Rholang.
The Synereo 2.0 technology stack was designed to encompass all the tools and infrastructure needed to create a central application and service. The latest product is the result of 5 years of continuous development.
Special-k is the evolution of a class DHT distributed key-value database. The unified Special-k API and a unary-specific domain language allow developers to get data from a centralized network.
The Synereo 2.0 technology stack offers many features that can rival Ethereum, and Rholang is more prominent than the solidity language of Ethereum. Rholang full name is reflective, Higher-order Process Language, is the Intelligent contract language of the R chain, which not only allows parallel execution, but also provides a more efficient and secure way to perform functional contracts hierarchically. The company considers this to be the Java, Scala, or C # language on the blockchain.
Ethereum is plagued by Dos attacks and security issues, and the Synereo 2.0 technology stack may be an alternative. To prevent security breaches, the Rholang-based architecture allows developers to conduct security tests and simulations based on formal validation. They think that if Ethereum's DAO was developed based on Rholang, that attack could be avoided.
Synereo aims to provide a complete blockchain-based solution to shape the future economy. To achieve this goal, the platform is being financed. In less than a week, it has melted to more than $3 million.
