XML, the advantages of JSON, in and can achieve tree data storage, can be used to express various forms of information;

The structure of c/cpp can also be used to preserve various forms of information, which is equivalent in the schema layer;

PB, Thrift, avro-rpc and so on, are used compact structure to express the non-compact tree information, so that the data transmission volume is smaller and faster;

So, using XML, JSON is a better way to do this without considering resource consumption.
