In a project that supports arc (Automatic Reference counting), it is sometimes necessary to prohibit several of these files from being compiled with ARC mode (for example, you use a class library that does not support arc for third parties). Then click on the project file and add "-fno-objc-arc" to target->build phases->compiler flags.

Conversely, if you want to support the ARC mode in the MRC project, click on the project file and add "-fobjc-arc" to the Target->build Phaese->compiler flags.
