Compile OpenSSL in Windows
1) visit http://www.openssl.org/source/to download the latest version. In this example, the URL address is 0.9.8kin the format of 9.5.23, and the URL address is openssl-0.9.8k.tar..gz.
2) decompress the openssl-0.9.8k.tar.gz file using the winrarcompressed tool.
3) download Perl ,. In Windows, you must use a Perl script to call configure to generate the MAKEFILE file.
:
4) install Perl
5) Run cmd to change the current directory to the OpenSSL source code.
6) execute Configure. Run the Perl conigrue VC-WIN32-Prefix = C:/openssl-0.9.8k ". The prefix parameter indicates the installation path after OpenSSL is compiled.
7) Run "MS/do_ms"
8) Run "nmake-f ms/NTDLL. Mak". Execute make compilation.
Note: The VC command, header file, and Lib library file are used during compilation. You must ensure that path, Lib, and include in the environment variables are set correctly.
9) Run nmake-f ms/NTDLL. Mak test to check whether the previous compilation was successful.
10) Run "nmake-f ms/NTDLL. Mak install", this step will install the compiled OpenSSL to the specified directory,
11) view the installation result. In the C:/OpenSSL-0.9.9k directory, you will see the bin, include/lib 3 folders. Openssl.exe (OpenSSL. Command Program), ssleay32.dll (SSL protocol dynamic library), and libeay32.dll (cryptographic algorithm library) in the bindirectory ).
