Compiled today via MPEG4IP and Darwin streamer server

Operating system: Ubuntu 7.04 Mpeg4ip:http://mpeg4ip.sourceforge.net/darwin Streamer server:http://developer.apple.com/ opensource/server/streaming/index.html, select the for Linux version.
Download the latest version of the software according to the top two URLs, unzip it, and compile it under Linux. The libraries needed for compiling mpeg4ip are: Libtool ffmpeg
Then go to the Mpeg4ip directory, run./bootstrap to configure, if the error is due to bash version and name of the problem, modify the first line of bootstrap file, change sh to bash. or run bash./bootstrap. After the configuration is complete, there are a few lines of prompts that tell you which libraries are installed, which libraries are missing, and you can add the appropriate libraries as prompted. But there are problems with the x246 and FAAC libraries under Ubuntu. We did not choose to install.
Compile installation Darwin Streamer Server: Run directly./install script to install words will prompt error, user RTSS does not exist or anything. The DSS is developed under Fedroa, and there is no problem installing under Fedroa. In Ubuntu, you need to manually add RTSS users: Useradd rtss, and then execute./install, the last input to manage the RSS user and password, enter the corresponding information, you can install successfully. Then enter in the browser: http://localhost:1220, you can enter the administration page. Enter the username and password you just set and enter the admin. It can also be managed remotely in a computer browser in a local area network.
Mpeg4ip and DSS work together to achieve real-time remote monitoring: The premise needs to have a camera and camera driver, we are QC Pro 5000, drive is LINUX-UVC. At the command line, run Mp4live:sudo mp4live the Mp4live interface with the option to save the SDP file, browse to the DSS default/usr/local/movies/directory, and name DARWIN.SDP. Click Start to record and run. On another computer on the local area network, you can connect the monitor video of the server with QuickTime open URL:RTSTP://DARWIN_SERVER_IP/DARWIN.SDP. The question now is: 1. Video quality is too bad, I use Luview in the local view, the effect is very good. Suspicion is the problem of MP4IP coding. 2. Network delay, (delay should be the problem of codec). Still need to be further perfected.
