Compiling grub menus for Windows and Linux systems

When you install two systems, select the default system to enter. Sometimes, reinstalling the system will cause another system to enter.

1. Guide linux under windows

You can use MENU. LST generated by WinGrub tool in Windows to guide linux and edit it so that you can install linux directly on the hard disk. My hard drive is WD 160G, previously with redhat9.0 disc installation, can not identify the hard disk, and then on the Internet under a Fedora-8-i386-DVD.iso

This is the MENU. lst I edited. It can be opened in notepad.

You can boot linux in windows. Even if you cannot see the linux menu after you reinstall XP, You can edit it again to restore the linux menu.

2. Guide XP in linux

Edit grub. conf in/boot/grub/vi,

As shown above, the XP menu appears.

Grub will not be compiled. You can remember grub after the first installation to avoid future troubles.
