the theory of the Master Production Plan is very complex. Consider whether the key work center processes are sufficient, if the calculation is based entirely on the theory of the main production plan, the enterprise needs to maintain a lot of basic information. If the basic information is not accurate, the plan is a false one. Therefore, in the ERP system, the main production plan is completely simplified based on the actual situation of the enterprise, making it very practical. Enterprises generally know the production capacity of various products in a period of time (referred to as the production capacity category ).

table 8.1 shows the daily production capacity of a clock manufacturer.

2. Production Capacity

the production capacity is classified by product, and each category is planned for main production. Such a category is called the production capacity category.

before defining the material production capacity category, several types of production capacity categories should be planned, define a Code for each category. The capacity category code is only used in MPs.

3. Main production plan formulation Program

in the ERP system, there are two main production plans:

(1) manual preparation of the Master Production Plan;
(2) Automatic scheduling of the master production plan.

the formulation process is a process of continuous and dynamic adjustment. When new customer orders are received, MPs needs to be rescheduled. Only when the plan is reasonable, the frequency of the adjustment plan will not be very fast, otherwise it will need to be adjusted frequently. At the beginning of the ERP system, MPs may be arranged every two or three days, and MPs may be arranged every week or half a month after the system is operating normally. If a new order is received every day, MPS is scheduled every day. MPs development process 8-5. Some customer orders must be produced on a specific day. Therefore, you must manually schedule the production completion date of the order. Some orders may need to be split when they are in large batches. Most customer orders are automatically scheduled by the system based on the order of delivery date and production capacity.

4. Manually schedule the Master Production Plan

when receiving customer orders, the preset production completion date is one business day prior to the delivery date. After you manually adjust the production completion date, you need to confirm the date. When running MPs, the order with the production completion date determined will not be automatically scheduled.
note the following when you manually schedule MPs:
(1) order quantity to be completed =
order quantity + order spare parts + manufacturing spare parts-order shipped quantity-order spare parts shipped quantity-database
storage quantity.
(2) MPs is scheduled only when the order to be shipped and the inventory is insufficient.
(3) quantity to be completed = Total number of quantities to be completed corresponding to the Capacity Type and production completion date.
(4) Order splitting can be performed when the amount to be completed is large.

5. Automatic scheduling of the Master Production Plan

when there are many orders, manual scheduling of MPs requires a lot of work. Most of them should be based on the order of delivery date, considering the production capacity, MPs computing. Parts that are not determined by the manual scheduling date will all be rescheduled during MPs running.
before running MPs, you must create a calendar of work for the company to schedule production only on workdays.
If a production plan has been manually scheduled on a day, the MPs calculates the scheduled quantity.
In addition to specifying the daily production capacity and capacity adjustment percentage, you must specify the date from which the production completion date is scheduled.
MPs must be run for each capacity type.
