How to install XP under DOS
Description: Dos install XP is not preferred, I usually start the CD-ROM installation. This is written because there are a lot of netizens want to know.
If you want to paste, please specify from the smell road Changan. Ah ah:)
1. Preparation: Make 98 Startup disk (this is not taught?) )。 Then locate the FORMAT.EXE and SMARTDRV.EXE two files in the C:\Windows directory of WIN98 and copy them to the boot disk.
2. Set the BIOS to floppy boot (how do I set it?) Aggravation )。
3. Reboot with 98 boot disk to DOS (note to load the CD-ROM boot).
4. At the command prompt, type:
A:\>format c:/u/q (if you also want to have a DOS presence, then format c:/q/u/s) enter
A:\>smartdrv. EXE carriage return (no prompts appear after running, but it is already running)
A:\>x: (Go to XP installer disk)
X:\>CD i386 (enter directory)
X:\i386>winnt.exe (Start Setup)
Well, you can rest--I can also rest, typing really tired.
This is the cleanest installation of XP.
Attention:
1.x represents the disc or hard disk installation disk. Sometimes it is difficult to move a bit later, such as Disc E, move an F.
2. The prerequisite is that the system disk is not NTFS format (otherwise it is not called DOS installed).
3. Hard disk installation, if the installation files are not in the root directory, such as folders, first enter the X:\>CD folder name (not in Chinese name, X for the hard disk letter).
