Recently, several major ArcGIS software were re-installed. Although all of them were completed on the Windows platform, some problems still encountered during the process, unfortunately, the installation process does not take screenshots of the key steps. You can only record them here.

Oracle Installation

At first, we prepared to install oracle10gr2, but the installation file was not successfully installed due to a problem. We still had to go over to the commonly used oracle9ir2. The specific version number is 9.2.0.1. I am going to install sde9.2. The recommended Oracle Installation version of ESRI is 9.2.0.7, but I finally found that there is no problem in 9.2.0.1. When building applications, we recommend that you go to the ESRI official website to check the system requirements of various software. After all, this is relatively safe.

Oracle installation is a common topic. Google searches for a large number of search results, whether it's a newbie or a newbie, whether it's UNIX, Linux, or windows, such installation problems often occur. If the listener is not running, the net configuration is not configured properly, and the OMS cannot log on. If there is no way to reinstall the listener, note that it is best to stop all Oracle-related services before uninstalling them, especially when you are preparing to reinstall different versions of oracle. There are many special posts on how to download oracle on various platforms for reference. We need to pay attention to the following issues when preparing for SDE:

1. Create a tablespace for SDE with a size not less than 400 mb.
2. Add Resource permissions to SDE database users.
3. Record the SID of the spatial database. The corresponding tnsnames. ora configuration file can be found in the Directory D: \ oracle \ ora92 \ Network \ admin.

ArcGIS Desktop Installation

This process is relatively simple. First plug in the software lock, then install the desktop administrator, enter the authorization file, and finally install the software. Follow the prompts to complete step by step.

ArcIMS Installation

Since version 9.0 and later, the installation success rate of ArcIMS has been greatly improved. You only need to follow the required steps. As the configuration of IIS + servlet, the installation process is as follows:

1. Install JRE. The version must be 1.4.0.6 or later. Otherwise, some functions are not fully installed.
2. IIS is configured on the machine. The version must be iis5.1 or later.
3. install ServletExec. There are two files in arcims9.2: servletexec_isapi_50013 and servletexec_as_50013. The latter can be run independently without IIS. I have not tried this, I usually install the former. During the installation process, I need to enter the Administrator account and password. for the installation of the entire system, I need to enter the password in multiple places. I can unify these accounts through my own development and research.
4. Formally install the software, step by step, and finally pass the diagostics two-step test.

It is said that in ArcGIS Server 9.2, you no longer need to adjust the Windows built-in firewall settings, but I still add the ports and programs to the exception according to the above method. If you think that arcgissoc, arcgissom, and arcgiswebservices are too many users, you can combine these accounts into one account and add permissions for agsadmin, agsusers, and administrator.

The installation process is to add the runtime environment, the dynamic control link library, and the vs2005/Java help document, which can be completed as prompted.
