Chapter 1 create a Windows XP installation disc integrated with SP2)

This chapter describes how to create a Windows XP installation disc integrated with SP2.

1 required tools:

(1) XP installation CD
(2) XP SP2
(3) Cdimage
(4) IsoBuster
(5) VMware (or Virtual PC)

2 integration:
Copy all content in the XP installation disk to a directory on the hard disk, for example, d: xpcdwinxp.
Decompress the SP2 package with winrar, or enter "d: xpsp2.exe/x" in "Start/Run" to decompress it to the hard disk, for example, d: xpcdsp2. Enter "d: xpcdsp2i386updte.exe-s: xpcdwinxp" for integration.
In fact, sp2 already has the function of directly integrating sp2 packages and does not need to be decompressed first. You can use the "d: xpsp2.exe-s: xpcdwinxp" command for direct integration.

3. Extract the boot file:
Put the installation disc into the optical drive, open IsoBuster, select the drive letter where the disc is located, and in "bootimage. img "right-click and select" extract bootimage. img "and save it as a file, assuming it is placed in the d: xpcd directory.
Of course, you can also use a ready-made CD boot file, such as bootsect. bin, which can be found online and the effect is the same.

4. Create a cd iso:
Place cdimage.exe in the d: xpcd directory, and enter "cdimage-lWinXPSP2-t08/10/2004, 00: 00: 00-h-m-n-bd: xpcdootimage. img CD d: winxpsp2.ISO ", a Dos window is displayed, showing the process of creating an ISO file. After that, you can view the image file on your d Drive.
You can use a virtual drive such as DAEMON Tools to load a disk. If you are not at ease, you can also use the VMware Workstation Virtual Computer to test whether it can boot, you can install it to check whether it is perfect.

Chapter 2 create an all-in-one Windows XP SP2 installation disc (finishing + original)

This chapter describes how to create a Windows XP SP2 installation disc with multiple versions. That is, the popular multi-in-one installation disc. Here we will take the oem and vlk two-in-one versions as an example to illustrate how to create a unified directory for ease of production and explanation. Assume that the directory is d: xpcdwinxp, which is the root directory of the CD.

1 required tools:

(1) multiple versions of the XP installation CD, here we take the two-in-one as an example.
(2) XP SP2
(3) Cdimage
(4) IsoBuster
(5) UltraEdit
(6) Xxcopy
(7) Winimage

2 preparation:

A) To download the boot floppy disk of Windows XP, the function of the disk is to enable the disk to start on a simulated floppy disk, so that a floppy disk corresponds to an installation file. You can rest assured that the boot floppy disk here is not a Win98 boot floppy disk, but a Windows XP dedicated boot disk with NTFS, SCSI, RAID, and other drivers, so it can fully identify NTFS partitions.
(This version is PRO and can only be used on the installation disk of PRO ,)

The downloaded package is an installation file, but do not install it. Unless you have a software drive (it is troublesome to have a software drive), decompress it directly with Winrar. After decompression, there will be 8 files, each of the six images is a floppy disk image. For example:

B) Use Winimage to decompress several cdboot files to the same directory. Assume d: xpcdoot.

C) copy the content of the two installation discs to the two directories under d: xpcdwinxp, for example d: xpcdwinxpoem and d: xpcdwinxpvlk.

3 integrate SP2:
Run the "d: xpsp2.exe-s: d: xpcdwinxpoem" and "d: xpsp2.exe-s: d: xpcdwinxpvlk" commands to integrate SP2 with the installation files of the two versions.

4. Replace the boot disk group file: Replace the files in the d: xpcdoot directory with the files in the d: xpcdwinxpoemi386 directory, that is, replace the files in the boot floppy disk group with those after SP2 integration. Note: do not replace the file in system32; otherwise, it cannot be installed.
To replace these many files, you can use xxcopy to save the downloaded xxcopy file to d: xpcd and run the command "xxcopy d: xpcdwinxpoemi386 d: win2koot/U/E/YY ". Xxcopy is used to copy the same files in the target directory to the original folder. After this replacement, all the files in the root directory are the same as those in the i386 directory.

5. Copy two root folders to the d: xpcdwinxp directory, one named oemx and the other named vlkx, which correspond to the installation files of the oem and vlk respectively.

6. Modify setupldr. bin: Use Ultraedit to open d: xpcdwinxpoemxsetupldr. bin. Replace "i386" with "OEMX" in ASCII search. There are four parts in total. Note that oemx must be written in uppercase, because after being burned to a CD, these folders and files are automatically converted to uppercase, the system will prompt that the NTDETECT file cannot be found. This file tells the installer where to start it.
Replace i386 in d: xpcdwinxpvlkxsetupldr. bin with VLKX in the same way.

7. Modify txtsetup. sif: Use Ultraedit to open d: xpcdwinxpoemxxtsetup. sif, search and replace "SetupSourcePath =" with "SetupSourcePath =" oem ""; Use Ultraedit to open d: xpcdwinxpvlkxxtsetup. sif, search to replace "SetupSourcePath =" with "SetupSourcePath =" vlk "". This file tells the installer where to copy the installation file.

8. Modify the CD boot file: extract the CD boot file using the method described in Chapter 1 and copy the two files, named oemxp. bin and vlkxp. bin respectively. Use Ultraedit to open oemxp. bin, search to replace i386 with OEMX, use Ultraedit to enable vlkxp. bin, and search to replace i386 with VLKX. There is only one

9. Start Menu creation: there are many methods and tools for creating a Start Menu. We recommend that you use easyboot, the most popular graphical Start Menu creation tool.
Copy oemxp. bin and vlkxp. bin to the d: xpcdwinxpezboot directory (this folder is the folder for storing boot files in easyboot ).
Corresponding to oemxp. bin and vlkxp. bin in the menu command line, you can guide the XP for the oem version and xp for the vlk version respectively. For how to use Easyboot, please refer to the help of the software. If you have many questions, I will post them here.

10 create ISO: Put cdimage.exe in the d: xpcd directory, and enter "cdimage-lWinXP_SP2_2in1-t08/10/2004, 00: 00: 00-h-m-n-bd: xpcdloader in the running directory. bin CD d: winxp_sp2_2in1.ISO ", a Dos window is displayed, showing the process of creating an ISO file. After that, you can view the image file on your d Drive.

You can use a virtual drive such as DAEMON Tools to load a disk. If you are not at ease, you can also use the VMware Workstation Virtual Computer to test whether it can boot, you can install it to check whether it is perfect.

If you want to integrate more xp versions, the compiling method is the same. All you need to change is to add the boot file corresponding to the original file, such as the boot disk group and boot file.

Chapter 3 prepare an unattended installation CD (Collection)

In the previous two chapters, we learned how to create an integrated SP installation disc, which is a very "clean" installation disk. In fact, we can further process this disk. Main purpose:

1. Integrate scattered Patches
2 Unattended Installation
3. replace some cracked files

This chapter I don't want to write any more, because there is already a good tutorial, huh, lazy, reference the most complete unattended installation of CD production Teaching Site: http://www.cctips.com/Unattended/xp/index.htm

Note:

1 WinXP SP2 has already integrated Directx 9.0c and MediaPlayer 9.0, so we do not need to integrate these two.
2 UXTheme. dll has strict version restrictions and cannot be used universally. The Chinese version of UXTheme. dll SP2 RTM 2180 and its usage can be downloaded here:

3 In this tutorial, we 'd better not learn about Hotfix integration because it is too troublesome. I will explain how to integrate hotfix in the next chapter.

Chapter 4 integrate various patches and software (original)

Since SP2 has just been released and there are no key updates available, I will take the patch in the SP1 era as an example to illustrate it.

1. The traditional integration method is Microsoft's method, that is, using batch processing to call the patch program, and then using parallel lines. TXT or Winnt. the RunOnceE function in sif to automatically install patches and other programs. During system installation, you will find the content in lines. TXT and execute the content in sequence. You only need to add the program or batch file to the line following "[Commands]" to implement automatic installation.
Method: Place all patches (including Directx9.0b and MediaPlayer9.0) to the "$ OEM $1 INSTALL" directory of the CD, write one or more batches for installation. During the installation process, the installer first copies all the files in the "$1" directory to the hard drive system disk, and then runs the lines command. TXT or Winnt. the RunOnceE line in sif to execute the file.
This method has a single and ugly interface, which is a very ugly DOS window. This method is rarely used now.

2 XP install
XP install is an installation program written by a Web user in Australia. It can automatically execute scripts and replace the DOS window with a beautiful interface. In addition, it supports XML scripts. We only need to write all the execution commands in a script file. If you want to make a fully automated integrated installation CD, it will give you the best choice. The latest version of XP install is 4.3. You can go
There are two main files and a folder. EXE and XPINSTALL. copy the two XML files and the IMAGES folder to the "$ OEM $1 INSTALL" directory, and copy the patches and programs to be installed to the "$ OEM $1 INSTALL" directory.
The rest is to write the XP install. XML file. What you need to modify is like "<file name = Applying Microsoft Jscript... command = execute programpolicpolicsystemdrive‑installhotfixesjs56nchs.exe arguments =/Q: A/R: N/> "content in this section, where" file name = Applying Microsoft Jscript... "The name of the patch or program currently being installed is displayed during the installation process;" Your systemdriveappsinstallhotfixesjs56nchs.exe "specifies the location and name of the file to be executed; "arguments =/Q: A/R: N" is the Silent Installation parameter of the current patch or program.
